Art project. Festival. Collective. Bar. Travelling installation. We often get the question "What is Anderstorpsfestivalen?" and the answer is always the same: "We honestly don't know either". Anderstorpsfestivalen has been changing shape for over a decade: an ongoing exercise in what absolute dedication to dumb ideas can lead to.
In a world that optimizes, reduces, and strips everything down to the cheapest possible bill of materials, Anderstorpsfestivalen represents the opposite: overbuild, overextend, and never ask why.
No Accordions Allowed
Anderstorpsfestivalen has always taken a strong stance against the accordion. We believe the accordion is a dangerous instrument that has had substantial impact on many families and lives. Accordions are strictly prohibited. This includes diatonic, chromatic, digital, button, piano, and any other squeezable device that wheezes when hugged. We co-operate fully with all regional and international regulations concerning the transport, handling, and public exposure of accordions.
